Harold Haynes founded Encore Theatre in 1994. Haynes offers his audience plays that explore various social issues such as crime, men and women in prison, and child abuse. His signature works include Behind Closed Doors, Women in Prison, Medea, Jezebel, I Just Wanna Tell Somebody, Isolation, God’s Mad Clown, Rage, Incarceration, Shout! Hallelujah, The Music and Magic of Christmas, and Praise the Lord. In 2008, Encore celebrated its 15th anniversary with a world premiere of Hayne’s musical, Jezebel.
