Eugene Lee, playwright, actor and director, performed with the prestigious Negro Ensemble Company in New York, where he appeared in the original production of Charles Fuller’s A Soldier’s Play. He has since performed in regional theatres across the country and on Broadway, most recently in an award-winning performance of August Wilson’s The Ground on Which I Stand. In addition, he has worked in film and TV. His most popular play, East Texas Hot Links, was produced at the Royal Court Theatre in London. He is currently the artist in residence at Texas State University.
